THE LOOSE PROCESS

STEP ONE: LETS MEET!

Every great project starts with a great conversation. We’ll begin with a short discovery call where you can tell me about yourself, your business, and the vision for your project. It’s also a chance for you to ask any questions and for us to make sure we’re aligned from the start, clear on goals, expectations, and ready to get creative together.

STEP 2: IDEATION

After our call, I’ll take some time to reflect on our conversation and dive into my own research. I’ll explore recurring themes, visual references, and key ideas that align with your project goals. This stage often involves creating spider diagrams, moodboards, and other exploratory visuals to help shape a strong creative direction.

STEP 3: SKETCHING

Once I have a clear understanding of your vision, it’s time for my favourite part, sketching! Using everything gathered so far, I’ll explore a range of ideas in my sketchbook, usually generating 15–30 initial concepts. This stage is all about experimenting, problem-solving, and laying the creative groundwork for the final design.

STEP 4: REFINING

At this stage, I’ll take the strongest ideas from my sketchbook and develop them into more polished, digital concepts.  The number of refined options will depend on the logo package you’ve selected. This is where the concepts truly begin to take shape, evolving from rough sketches into visuals you can imagine representing your brand in the real world.

STEP 5: CONCEPT PRESENTATION

Once the refined concepts are ready, I’ll share them with you in a short presentation. This gives you the opportunity to review the designs and choose the direction you’d like to move forward with. You’ll also be able to request any changes or tweaks at this stage, your feedback is key to making sure the final design is exactly what you envisioned.

STEP 6: SIGN OFF!

Once the final design is approved and no further changes are needed, you’ll sign off on the project. I’ll then package everything up and send over all the final files, along with a brand guidelines document.

While this marks the end of the design process, it’s not the end of our journey. I’ll always be here if you need support, updates, or help with any future design work.
